Will my student be able to fill a prescription for his/her/their medication in France?
Will my student be able to fill a prescription for his/her/their medication in France?
No. Students should speak with their doctor to bring whatever medications they will need for the duration of their time abroad. The GTL office in Atlanta CANNOT ship any medications to students, nor should family members plan on shipping medication as they may get held up in customs.
Note that some medications that are legal in the U.S. are not legal in France, and so we discourage mailing medications to Georgia Tech-Lorraine.

Is medical insurance included in the program cost?
Yes. Georgia Tech provides supplemental insurance for all students participating in a Georgia Tech study abroad program.
Students subscribe to a mandatory insurance policy through CISI (included in the program fees for the program dates; students will need to purchase extra coverage if they arrive before the program dates, or stay after the program dates.) Please ask your student to contact Maleia Lewis should they need to purchase additional days of coverage.
After visiting a doctor in France and paying the cost of the visit up front, students will submit a claim form directly to CISI.
