Friends and family are welcome to visit their students in Metz, but are not permitted to stay with students in the student residences. It is possible to arrange access to campus with your student. In order to plan your trip, here are a few resources to consider:

* ✈ Charles de Gaulle (CDG-Paris, France), Frankfurt (FRA-Germany), or Luxembourg (LUX), are the closest airports. 
"* 🚄 The train system is well-connected, even directly to the airports in most cases. The Metz train station is called ""Metz-ville,"" while the ""Lorraine TGV"" station is outside Metz with a shuttle to the Metz-ville station.

"* 🏨 places to stay: While you are most welcome to visit, it is forbidden for students to have guests stay with them in their dormitories. For more information on hotels in the area, visit the Metz tourism site. 

TIP:  We recommend staying in downtown Metz by the Cathedral, rather than by Georgia Tech-Lorraine in the Technopole area."
